Takarazuka Revue tribute book

This personal project sprung from my fascination with a century-old all-female musical theater company from the city of Takarazuka, Japan. This book chronicles the history of female thespians in Japanese history, their ban from stage, and spectacular reappearance in the form of the Takarazuka Revue. Women play both male and female roles in extravagant and uniquely styled productions and garner cult-like adoration from many female fans.
